Swimsuits To Suit You

Find out how you can stop worrying about the coming swimsuit season.  Lychee Fan considers the bathing suits most flattering to your form.
Finally!  Summer is fast approaching, a favourite season for many ladies because of the freedom we suddenly have when it comes to our wardrobes.  But whether you’re rocking the latest trendy dress or the coolest shoes, there is a type of clothing beyond the concern of trend because it’s such a difficult item:  bathing suits.  Oh, so intimidating!  A huge concern with swimsuits is that you are basically in public in your underwear.  That means everyone can see everything, including those areas that you really don’t want to others to see.  You have to consider which suits look best, which best support your cleavage, which make your bum most admirable and more.  However, whatever your body-part-of-anxiety, there is bound to be a swimsuit that is flattering to your form, and I want to make that evident.  Let’s isolate the analysis into the four biggest concerns:  tummy, larger bust, smaller bust and what’s “below the equator.”

Hiding A Tummy

It would be best to stick to one-piece bathing suits if your concern is a bit of tummy, as two-piece suits often cling too tightly to the hips and only emphasize a tummy.  That being said, binding suits made of spandex or nylon-based materials help to flatten away the midsection.  Another trick is to distract the attention from your midsection by wearing bathing suits with decorative and busy patterns around the waist (to create an optical illusion) or closer to the bust to draw the eye upwards.

Larger Bust

For women who are uncomfortable with showing their bust in public, the first thing to do is avoid tops that are too small, too tight or too-low cut as “spillage” will only draw attention to your chest.  Avoid string bikinis, halter bathing suits and suits that don’t fit your chest properly.  As with distracting attention from the tummy, decorative patterns along the bust are a good way of minimizing the appearance.  What is most important, however, is to be comfortable.  Look for bathing suits with built-in bras for good support.
